BUILDING:
FOR THE SAKE OF OTHERS CAR
A car with a story becomes a vehicle for something bigger.
The Building: For the Sake of Others Car Raffle is an opportunity to win a truly exceptional vehicle while helping make a meaningful impact in our community.
The raffle features a beautifully maintained 1997 Land Rover Defender previously owned by Alan Jackson. It was generously donated by a supporter who wanted to see something they were no longer using become a resource for serving others. Instead of remaining parked in a garage, the vehicle is now helping advance the Building: For the Sake of Others initiative.
This Defender is more than a collector vehicle—it represents generosity, thoughtful compassion, and the belief that valuable resources can be used to create lasting impact.
By participating in the raffle, you'll have the chance to own an iconic vehicle while supporting a mission that extends far beyond the prize itself. Every net dollar raised will go directly toward the Building: For the Sake of Others initiative, helping expand our capacity to serve people, strengthen our community, and create more opportunities for individuals and families to experience belonging and hope.
At its core, this raffle isn't simply about giving away a vehicle—it's about turning an unexpected gift into an opportunity to invest in people and make a lasting difference.
WHAT IS ETHOS’ BUILDING: FOR THE SAKE OF OTHERS INITIATIVE?
At the beginning of 2026, our community launched an initiative called Building: For the Sake of Others. At the heart of who we are is a simple commitment: to show up and serve people—both within our community and throughout our city.
This initiative began as we recognized a growing need for more space to support our expanding children's programs, multi-generational ESL classes, and community outreach efforts. Practically, this includes the construction of a new large-group gathering space, expanded and renovated areas for children's programs, and additional spaces designed to host community gatherings and serve people throughout the week.
But Building: For the Sake of Others has never been just about creating more square footage. It’s about creating more opportunities to meet people where they are, provide practical help, offer genuine hope, and cultivate a place where people can experience belonging.
