GOD IS STILL
AT WORK

We continue to be amazed at what God is doing through Ethos! At the risk of repeating ourselves too frequently, the truth is, one of the best parts about Ethos is you. No matter how you found yourself reading our “2023 Year End Report," we love you and are honored to be in this together with every one of you! We don’t care what part we play; we are just thankful to play a part. As you read this report, our prayer is that you would sense the whisper of the Spirit saying to you, "Well done." We truly believe God is smiling on the collective work of Ethos and pray that you know how valuable you are. May we always be a church that is built on the sacrifice of many rather than the gifts of a few.

We thank God for all that He is doing in our community, and we believe that the best is yet to come! So, here’s to 2024! A year that we sense God is calling us to lean deeper into holistic discipleship as we live out our vision to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. Let us be in awe of God. Let us live sent, open-handed, and united. Let us reach, serve, & love more people than we ever dreamed possible, in Jesus’ name.

Love & Peace,

Jordan & Courtney

MOST PEOPLE HAVE YET TO EXPERIENCE THE REAL JESUS.

We are on a mission to change that.

COMMUNITY

Living life as a family is our priority

One of the best aspects about Ethos is the people! The Ethos Family is the heart and soul of our church and everything we do, whether creating spaces of belonging, serving with relentless generosity, or investing into each generation and transforming lives by loving all people in Jesus’ name.

Ethos 301 | Becoming Family

Ethos 101-301 is everyone's best step to learn more about the vision, mission, and culture of Ethos. And it is our pathway to being part of the Ethos family by joining a Servant Leader Team and using your gifts regularly through Ethos to serve and make a difference in Jesus' name.

In 2023, we have seen 129 people say yes to committing to the Ethos family and playing a part in our community.

Adults in Small Groups

We had 32 small groups across the city where people are connecting in relationally healthy community and growing to become more like Jesus.

89

Ethos Mentorship

We launch our first 9-month mentorship groups where men and women who are seasoned in their faith are able to share their life experiences as followers of Jesus, and invest into mentees' lives. These mentorship groups are intentionally designed to create safe spaces to be authentic, vulnerable and be challenged to grow in mentees' spiritual life and leadership.

Mentorship
Story

"The mentoring program has been a breath of fresh air for both of us individually and for our marriage. To be completely honest, we were a bit skeptical of the commitment at the onset of the program, but after our first meeting with our mentors and fellow mentees we left overwhelmed with a sense of peace and excitement for what the next 9 months would hold.

From the relational assignments that help us foster a deeper understanding of each other, to the monthly book assignments that deepen our faith and theology, we have grown in our understanding of what it means to be a redeemed child of God. It is relieving to have a group of men and women that we can truly open up to and be vulnerable with. There is healing in confession and community."

People in Alpha

We are excited that 64 people enrolled in the Ethos' Alpha Course. Alpha is a fun dinner series followed by group conversations designed for those who are interested in exploring life, spirituality, and faith through a Christian lens in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment.

303

Servant Leaders

We are leaders who serve and servants who lead to make a difference throughout our city. Servant leaders give their time, energy, and talents to build the Kingdom of God via Ethos through various servant leadership teams from Monday through Sunday.

Adult Salvations

We celebrate BIG for each person who says “yes” to a personal relationship with Jesus. We are continuing to identify ways to best equip Ethos to live on mission and to build disciples for Jesus.

21

Water Baptisms

In 2023, we began hosting personalized Water Baptism experiences to celebrate life change and their decision to follow Jesus. We saw 21 adults, students, and children share their story of accepting Jesus into their lives and make a public declaration of their faith with family and friends.

ETHOS KIDS

Our greatest investment as a church may not be something we do,

but the CHILDREN we raise together.

The Dhaenen's
Ethos Kids
Story

IMG_5228.heic

When we first started coming to Ethos, we didn't have kids yet, but we knew that we wanted to find a church community that would help encourage them to build their own relationship with God. Our daughter, Madelyn, recently moved up to the 2's-4's classroom where they have activities, songs and fun things to do, all centered around who God is. After the first time she was in that classroom for Easter services, we picked her up and she had a big smile on her face! We asked her if she had fun - "YEAH!" was her immediate response, still beaming. We asked her what she learned about, and her response was "Jesus...Jesus is alive...Jesus is my best friend." And since then, her experience has been the same each and every Sunday. Some Sundays she'll mention God, others the Bible, but always ending with something like "God is my best friend" or "The Bible is my favorite." She's even started reaching for her Bible at home for story time.

As parents, we are so grateful for the partnership with Ethos Kids and each of the servant leaders who pour into these kids each week. There's no way we could raise our kids without these amazing individuals and the programming offered at all stages of childhood. It not only gives our daughter the experience and joy of knowing God, but also equips us as parents to continue the conversations throughout the week and keep encouraging her exploration. Thank you Ethos Kids!!

When a student's financial ad fell through, the Legacy Team  funded a scholarship to allow the student to enroll in classes.

Through the Generations Legacy Lane, we were able to purchase two portable cases that were fully loaded with games, curriculum and gear necessary for Ethos Kids worship experiences.

As the Ethos Food Pantry strives to meet the needs of people experiencing food insecurity, we received feedback that fresh and frozen foods was their primary need. Through relationship and the Outreach Legacy donations, we purchased new, commercial refrigerator and freezer for the food pantry.

We took a team to El Salvador where we had the opportunity to connect with church staff in the city of San Miguel. We were able to do a number of projects to help serve the church and surrounding communities. The one week we are there helps pastors Ivo and Giovanni and their teams connect with and serve people the other 51 weeks we aren’t there.
